Appraisal & Gemological Service Fees

SAMUELS charges a $95.00 non-refundable pre-paid deposit to secure the initial appointment, which will be deducted from the approved final service quote. Also, the below pricing reflects standard minimums; final binding service quotes are based on the complexity of the assignment, determined during your appointment after initial physical evaluation of items to be appraised.  Additionally, the below pricing structure for appraisal reports is for digital PDF only. A print-delivery fee of $15.00 will be added to each appraisal report if requesting a hard copy (*multiple items can be included on one report).

Gem Jewelry Appraisal Report (1.00 - 2.99 carat): $125.00

Diamond Jewelry Appraisal Report (1.00 -2.99 carat): $125.00

Diamond Jewelry Appraisal Report (3.00 carats & up ): $150.00+

Watches (prices vary based on model and research): $150.00+

Plain Gold Item Appraisal Report (Minimum 3 items): $75.00

Laboratory Services:

Quality Descriptive Report (no value conclusion): $95.00

Gem Identification Confirmation Report: $75.00

Appraisal Report Update: $45.00 (PDF only); ($15 print fee per report for hard copy)

Diamond/Gemstone Plot Diagram (add-on only): $25.00

NOTE: We generally do not appraise American Indian Jewelry, Large Turquoise, Jade, Bone, Amber or Ivory items. Though we appraise watches, we do not open case backs to examine or authenticate movements, our appraisal of watches is based on outer components and engraved model and serial numbers.
